Javadekar attacks AIADMK govt for not implementing Udhay scheme

Union Minister and Tamil Nadu BJP Election-in-Charge Prakassh Javadekar has made a scathing attack on the AIADMK Government for not implementing the Central scheme Udhay. Addressing media persons in Chennai after reviewing the assembly poll strategy of the state BJP unit, he said the scheme has helped in drastic reduction in the prices of LED lamps and significant savings in electricity consumption. He said states like Bihar and Uttar Pradesh are implementing the scheme and getting benefited.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, the amount of money seized by the flying squads and the static surveillance teams of the Election Commission has soared to Rs 16.64 crore. Tamil Nadu tops in the seizure of money during vehicle checks among all the five poll-bound states including Assam, Kerala and West Bengal and the Union Territory of Puducherry.
