Jats to stage dharna on July 27 in Haryana for OBC status

In Haryana, Jat leaders have decided to hold one-day dharna at Mayyar village in Hisar district on July 27. They have started mobilising support for dharna. The members of All-India Jat Arakshan Sangharsh Samiti have been touring Jat-dominated villages across the state to activate the community people to participate in the dharna.

Meanwhile, senior Congress leader and former Haryana Minister Capt Ajay Singh Yadav said that he is against inclusion of Jats in the Backward Class (BC) category in Haryana and would launch an agitation against the BJP government if it gives reservation to Jats from 27% quota of BC Category. He said that the inclusion of Jats in BC category would adversely affect the interest of backward classes.
