In Haryana, protests continued today on the issue of reservation to Jats in OBC. The agitators destroyed a factory at Mayyer and pelted stones on Police at Gajuwala in Fatehabad. The situation is said to be tense at Gajuwala. The agitators also jammed link roads and national highways at Panipat, Jind and Hisar including Rohtak-Panipat road.According to Deputy Commissioner Hisar Amit Kumar Aggarwal all the national Highways have been cleared except a road at Bhainimiyakhurd where protesters were told to cut the trees to jam the road.He said that traffic is moving smoothly now and law and order situation has improved.Meanwhile, Khap leaders have called meeting at Jind tomorrow to decide further course of action on the issue of reservation. Haryana DGP Ranjiv Dalal has appealed to the elderly people to cooperate in maintaining the law and order and persuade the youngsters not to take law in their hands. The protesters are also demanding cancellation of cases against people registered during similar agitation last year and release of all the arrested people and their leaders by on Friday.
