In Haryana, Jat stir continued on the 21st day today. The protestors have intensified their stir after the administration rejected their demand to release the protesters arrested by police. The protest which began in Hisar, has spread to the adjoining districts of Jind, Bhiwani and Fatehabad with many of them blocking rail and road traffic at several places. All educational institutions remained closed in Hisar today. All roads leading to Delhi, Rajasthan and Punjab, including Hisar-Delhi National Highway and Hisar-Bhuna road is blocked. At Railway tracks near Ramayan village, around 500 protesters continued their Dharna. They have kept there the body of the deceased killed in police action during the stir. The agitators are demanding release of protestors and reservation for Jats in OBC category. A Khap spokesman Sube Singh said, the agitators have clarified that they would perform the last rites of the deceased youth only after their arrested fellows are released. Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Dr. Amit Kumar Agarwal has warned the anti-social elements not to damage any public or private property. He said that the demand of release of arrested Jat leaders is difficult to accept as they are in judicial custody.
