In Haryana, Jat leaders will call off their reservation stir today. After the agreement reached between the 16 member Committee of Jat khap leaders with government representatives, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Dharmvir Singh and Principal OSD to Chief Minister, M S Chopra and former Member Parliament, Jai Parkash at Hisar, the protesters and their leaders are waiting for the release of their around 100 arrested fellows, who were jailed during the ongoing agitation.
The Khap leaders and government representatives had announced to release them. Jat leaders said that the last rites of the deceased youth Sandeep who was killed in police action, would be performed after the release of arrested people.
They said that the agitators would also leave the rail tracks and roads and cooperate with the government in maintaining law and order in the state. He said that government has also agreed to keep the agreement made with Khap leaders at Chandigarh recently.
