Jat leaders in Haryana to call off their agitation today

In Haryana, Jat leaders will calls off their agitation today. This was announced by the Jat Khap after its representatives met senior officials of Haryana government last evening at Hisar.

The Khap Spokesman Sube Singh Samain told media persons that the government has decided to release the Jat leaders arrested during the protest seeking reservation for Jat community in government jobs.

The Khap Spokesman said, the last rites of the deceased youth Sandeep, who was killed during the protest, will be performed today. He said, the agitators will vacate rail tracks and roads and cooperate with the government in maintaining law and order in the state.

The government side at the talks was represented by Chief Parliamentary Secretary Dharmvir Singh, Principal OSD to the Chief Minister, M S Chopra and Former MP Jai Prakash.
