The Rail Traffic on Moradabad-Delhi route continues to be disrupted for ninth day today due to Jat reservation movement. The Jats are sqatting on the rail tracks in Kafurpur of Jyotiba Phule Nagar in Uttar Pradesh causing disruption of traffic at Kanpur-Bareilly-Delhi rail route. Over 50 long-distance trains are either cancelled or being diverted to other routes. Many long distance trains are running 6 to 12 hours late. The Jats are demanding reservation in Other Backward Class (OBC) quota in central government jobs. Meanwhile, the agitators have threatened to intensify their agitation further if their demands are not met.
