Japan's promise to invest USD 35 billion a great achievement for India: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that his Japan visit was a successful one and he spent happy days in the country. Addressing Indian community members living in Tokyo today he said that Japan promising to invest 35 billion dollars is a great achievement for India. He said that ban on six Indian companies have been revoked by Japan in good faith. He urged Indians living in Japan to encourage Japanese to visit India.

Saying that there are 5,000 Indian families in Japan and each family should encourage at least five Japanese families to visit India every year. He pointed out that this will boost tourism in India. Earlier, Prime Minister invited ideas from NRIs for the development of the country. Attending a reception ceremony organized by the Indian community in Tokoyo today, Modi said that Non Resident Indians can send their thoughts and ideas through social media for the betterment of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on penultimate day of his Japan visit also invited businessmen of Japan to invest in India.

Prime Minister again said that 21st century will be the era of Asia and India-Japan ties play a crucial part. The Prime Minister said that he handed over a copy of Bhagavad Gita to Emperor Hirohito when he visited him at Tokyo earlier today. Perhaps nothing could he give more than Gita, he said.
