Japanese PM meets top industrialist to further economic and commercial relations between two countries

Visiting Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama now on a three day visit to India, today held discussions in Mumbai with top industrialists to further economic and commercial relations between the two countries and to take the strategic Indo-Japanese ties to a new high. Eminent industrialists Ratan Tata and Mukesh Ambani called on the Japanese Prime Minister on Monday morning. Later, he addressed top notch industrialists of the country at a meeting organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). Among those present at the meeting included eminent industrialists Adi Godrej, leading banker Chanda Kochar, and Rahul Bajaj. Mr. Hatoyama, who is on his first official visit to India after he took over as Prime Minister of Japan in September, arrived in Mumbai on Sunday. He would be in New Delhi this afternoon and hold a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh tomorrow.<br/>
