Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for strengthening exchanges between State-level legislatures of India and Japan. Mr Modi was speaking to a delegation of Japanese Parliamentarians led by Toshihiro Nikai in New Delhi today.<br/><br/>The Prime Minister recalled his interaction with the Japan-India Parliamentarians' Friendship League in September and welcomed increased interaction between the legislatures of both the countries.<br/><br/>Mr Modi welcomed the initiative of Mr Nikai to raise awareness about the threat posed by Tsunamis and sought strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the field of disaster risk reduction and disaster management. The Prime Minister also said that he is looking forward to his visit to Japan next week.
