Japan has put its ballistic missile defences on alert, vowing to shoot down any projectile that threatened its territory. In a statement, Japan's Defence Ministry said, they will take destructive measures against ballistic and other missiles that are confirmed to land in their territory. The statement came today after North Korea notified it of a satellite launch between the 31st of May and the 11th of June.
