Janmashtami is being celebrated with traditional zest and religious fervour in Jalandhar today. All temples are being beautifully decorated and several tableaux, depicting the life of Lord Krishna, have been put on display. <br/><br/>Shri Devi Talab and Geeta Mandir are decorated beautifully. People are visiting the temples to participate in the special prayers and singing hymns in praise of Lord Krishna. <br/><br/>Apart from this shobha Yatras were also arranged on the eve of Janam Ashtami yesterday at Jalandhar. Many social and political dignitaries participated in the Yatra to take the blessings of Krishna.<br/><br/>The festival is also being celebrated with religious fervour and celebrations across the city of temples Jammu and other parts of the region today. <br/><br/>The Lord Krishna temples and other religious places have been witnessing huge rush of devotees since early this morning. <br/><br/>Devotees thronged temples to pay their obeisance to Lord Krishna on the occasion of Janmashtami. Yesterday, special shoba yatras were held to mark the occasion. Special security and other arrangements were also made.
