Janlokpal Bill to be tabled in State Assembly within a fortnight: Delhi CM

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said that Janlokpal Bill will be discussed and approved by his Cabinet probably tomorrow .Addressing a press conference on completion of one month of his government in the national capital, Mr Kejriwal said that the bill will be brought before the Assembly in next ten days for its passage.

On corruption, he claimed that the government's anti-corruption helpline has received huge response and corruption has declined to a considerable extent. Mr Kejriwal said, more than five thousand three-wheelers have been given permit to operate in the National Capital Region. He said, the government has added 58 night shelters during the short span to provide relief to the people spending their nights on the roads.

On probe by the SIT into 1984 anti-Sikh riots, the Chief Minister said, it has been a major demand of the Sikh community. He said the Delhi Cabinet will soon approve it and send it to the Lt Governor. He said the BJP ahs been in power at the Centre as well as in Delhi but it failed to take any step to order a probe into the riots.
