Janaushadhi outlets to be opened at railways stations, hospitals soon

Janaushadhi outlets will be opened at railways stations and hospitals across the country to make medicines available to the common man at affordable prices. <br/><br/>Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar today held a detailed discussion with the Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu over the issue in New Delhi. Mr Prabhu told media that in-principle a decision has been taken in this regard. He said, the decision aimed at providing generic drugs at cheaper process to the public including railwaymen. <br/><br/>Mr Ananth Kumar said around 2.5 crore people use railways to commute daily and these people should get the benefit of buying affordable medicines through Janaushadhi stores.He added that currently over 1600 Janaushadhi Kendras have been opened in over 450 districts across the country under the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana.<br/><br/>The Janaushadhi campaign is launched by the government to provide quality medicines at affordable prices to the masses through special outlets Janaushadhi Kendras.<br/>
