<span style="color: #222222;">Union Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt said on Tuesday that Jan Aushadhi Centres had benefited people who can't afford to buy medicines from other medical stores as Jan Aushadhi centres provide medicines at cheaper rates. He was addressing after inaugurating a programme at Sushila Tiwari Hospital at Haldwani in Uttarakhand on Jan Aushadhi Day.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He also distributed Jan Aushadhi kits to the needy people on this occasion. He said that the Jan Aushadhi Kendras were started as a dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the aim to provide generic medicines to the patients at lowest rates. He said at present in Jan Aushadhi Kendras  1759 medicines and 280 surgical products are available for sale. He said 50 to 90 percent concession is being given on medicines at these stores.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said that till now 9,177 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been opened in the country and target is to open 10 thousand Jan Aushadhi Kendras and it's credit goes to the Prime Minister.
