In a unique initiative, Delhi Government today launched a scheme, Jan Ahar Yojana aiming to provide nutritious food to poor and low-income group people twice a day at low price. Launching the scheme, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, said that the food will have specific calorific values prescribed by the government and will be available in seven places across the capital. A single meal will cost 15 rupees. Seven centres have also been set up to cook and distribute the food in a clean environment. Health Minister Kiran Walia said that this is an effort to provide an alternative to road side foods which are prepared in filthy atmosphere. <br/>
