In Andhra Pradesh, Divisional Railway Manager Anurag inaugurated Jan Ahar, a food stall for the common man on flat no. 6 of Vijayawada Railway Station. Speaking on the occasion, the DRM said Jan Ahar was a new concept introduced by the Indian Railways to serve food prepared in a hygienic conditions to the common man at affordable prices. On other development projects , Anurag said three more escalators and five lifts would be installed at the Railway Station soon for the convenience of Railway Passengers and added that at present , there are two escalators on flat No. 1 & 6. He informed that Railway Ministry already sanctioned funds to Vijayawada Railway Station for installation of escalators and lifts.
