The 270 Kms Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NHW-44) remained closed for vehicular traffic for the third consecutive day today due to landslide and sinking of the National Highway between Dalwas, Nashri and Peedha in the wee hours on Tuesday and fresh landslides at multiple locations yesterday.<br />'' <br />''AIR Jammu Correspondent reports that the only "all weather road" connecting Kashmir valley with rest of the country was closed in the wee hours on Tuesday due to a massive landslide and sinking of the national highway at Dalwas. Incessant overnight rainfall today triggered fresh landslides and shooting stones at Panthial, Mom Passi and Marog. Hundred of vehicles, mostly those carrying essential commodities have been stranded in long queues on the national highway at different places and on both the ends of the blocked site.<br />'' <br />''Following heavy rainfall, efforts to reopen the national highway has been hampered and due to fresh landslides, the debris clearance operations could not be carried out properly and the possibility of opening of the national highway today is almost impossible. Traffic police authorities of NHW have requested and advised public not to travel without confirming the status of the road from TCU Ramban, Jammu, Srinagar and Udhampur.<br />
