Inspired by Prime Minister's first Maan Ki Baat after his return to power wherein he advocated preservation of water resources, a special campaign to preserve the traditional water bodies has been started in Samba district of Jammu region by villagers.  <br />'' <br />'' Led by Veena Jamwal, sarpanch panchayat halqa Upper Birpur of the district, they started the cleanliness drive of old damaged ponds, wells in the area and also took pledge to maintain these water sources in future also. <br />''  <br />
