Like other parts of Northern India, the entire Jammu region is reeling under severe heat wave as the maximum temperature yesterday in Jammu that touched 45 degree Celsius remained same today also.<br/><br/>The severe heat wave has thrown life out of gear in Jammu region and it has taken toll of one life in Kathua distict of the region so far. The acute power and water crisis is further compounding the woes of the people who will have to reel under similar weather conditions for more days as weathermen has predicted mainly dry weather across the State in general and Jammu region in particular for unspecified period. <br/><br/>However, the world famous shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is comparitively cooler by a few degrees Celsious and the yatra there has been going on normaly.<br/><br/>An average number of 30 thousand pilgrims are visting the holy Trikuta Hills shrine every day yet the devotees are prefering to walk on the track to the Holy Cave during the night time to avoid the sultry heat of the day time.
