<span style="color: #222222;">In Jammu and Kashmir, the Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day was celebrated with great splendour and grandeur at Raj Bhawan Jammu today. Akashvani Jammu Correspondent reports that the event was graced by senior Government officials, students and the people of Uttar Pradesh living in J&K who were the special invitees. On the occasion, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha extended his felicitations to the people of Uttar Pradesh and the distinguished guests present at the function. The Lieutenant Governor said that Uttar Pradesh, the land of Lord Ram, Lord Shri Krishna, Vedas and Upanishads is also the cradle of Bharat's civilisation and Sanskars. He prayed that the State continues to scale new heights of progress. He recalled the rich history of Uttar Pradesh and also paid tribute to the freedom fighters and great personalities of the State who have made immense contributions to the building of modern India. Mesmerising performances by the artists in traditional attire showcased the beauty of Uttar Pradesh and local culture while celebrating the spirit of unity in diversity.</span><br />
