Jammu & Kashmir: A CRPF Head constable injured in militant attack

In Jammu & Kashmir, a CRPF Head constable was injured in a militant attack on a patrol of central paramilitary forces at Nowgam area on the outskirts of Srinagar city late this evening. CRPF spokesman told AIR that militants fired upon the patrol of 23 battalion CRPF, injuring a wireless operator. <br/><br/>He said the head constable received bullet in his thigh and has been hospitalised but out of danger. Meanwhile, militant organisation Lashkar-e-Toiba claimed the responsibility of the attack.
