Jammu Hotel Restaurant & Bar Association seeks cross border, pilgrim tourism

Jammu Hotel Restaurant and Bar Association has asked the Central government to take steps to promote cross-border pilgrimage, tourism in the region. President of the Association H S Anand said that they have highlighted the issue during their meeting with C Rangarajan, Chairman of the expert panel formed by the Prime Minister to formulate employment plan on J&K. They wanted promotion of tourism especially at Suchet Garh on the line of Wagah Border and shrine of Baba Chamliyal in Ramgarh. Stressing that Jammu region has vast potential for tourism promotion, they demanded bringing twin lakes of Mansar and Surinsar, holy spots of Purmandal and Uttarvani, historic Raghunath Temple, Budha Amar Nath and Nagali Saheb Gurudwara among others on the country's tourism map.
