Jammu emerging as hub of specialised health services

The winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir State, Jammu, is fast emerging as the hub of specialized health services with the opening of large number of hospitals in private and public sector. This was stated by J&K Minister for Medical and Technical Education, Mr. R S Chib in Jammu.The Minister said that the Jammu today boasts of some very prestigious hospitals, established both in Private and Public sector. He said the government has also taken a series of measures to upgrade the health facilities in the state, adding that two super specialty hospitals, coming up in Srinagar and Jammu are definitely going to revolutionize the health service scenario in the state.He said while the Super Specialty Hospital in Jammu is likely to be dedicated to the people by the end of this year as it was nearing completion. He said apart from this, major up-gradations have been made in the facilities at the two premier hospitals of Shri Mahraja Gulab Singh Hospital and Government Medical College Hospital Bakshi Nagar by way of introduction of latest diagnostic equipments and expansion of existing capacity.The Minister also hailed the private entrepreneurs who are investing in the state. He said the private sector has been contributing greatly in establishment of modern diagnostic centers.
