In Jammu and Kashmir, Jammu Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Verma yesterday held a meeting through video conferencing with Deputy Commissioners of Udhampur and Poonch to review progress on various development works taken up under MGNREGA schemes in the twin districts.<br />'' <br />''AIR correspondent reports that DC, Udhampur informed that 3,431 works have been taken up in the District under MGNREGA schemes in the year 2020-21, of which 514 stand completed, while work on 2,959 projects is in progress. Besides, 23 projects were sanctioned under languishing scheme, work on 22 projects was taken up and eight have been completed.<br />'' <br />''The Divisional Commissioner asked them to expedite the pace of work on languishing projects for their timely completion and formulate month-wise completion plan of different components of each project. He also reviewed implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and was informed that 1,805 houses have been completed in Udhampur in last three years. Poonch Deputy Commissioner also apprised about the progress of work on various development works in the district.<br />
