A BSF jawan was martyred and a civilian injured as Pakistan's forces resorted to heavy mortar shelling and firing in Arnia sector along the International Border in Jammu district today. BSF sources told AIR that the Pakistan Rangers started unprovoked firing and shelling on Indian positions and civilian areas in Arnia sector around 1 am today.<br/>'<br/>In the firing Constable Brijender Bahadur hailing from U.P. who was deployed at a forward post was injured seriously. He succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital. BSF troops guarding the border retaliated the firing and gave a befitting reply.The exchange of fire has since stopped. As a precautionary measure, all schools close to the International border in Arnia sector have been closed till next order.
