In Jammu and Kashmir, the Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalie hoisted the national flag at Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium Biamathang, and took salute at an impressive March Past comprising of contingents of Jammu and Kashmir Police, NCC, Army and Civil Band Party and troupes of Government and private schools on the 68th Independence Day 2013.Thousands of People from the adjoining villages of Kargil gathered at the Stadium.Independence Day was also celebrated at Drass, Sankoo, Chiktan, Zanskar and other block headquarters.
