Jamia Millia Islamia VC demands high level inquiry into violence in campus area

<span style="color: #222222;">Jamia Millia Islamia Vice Chancellor Najma Akhtar has demanded a high level inquiry into yesterday's violence in the campus area. Talking to reporters in New Delhi after University's Executive Council meeting, she objected to police action against the students saying police entered the campus without permission. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The VC also said around 200 students were injured in the incident and those detained have been released. She also clarified that no death occurred during the incident and urged the people to not believe in rumours. Ms Akhtar also said that damage of property as well as damage to emotional state of the students was caused during the police's action.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">  </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">University Registrar said, the police could not differentiate between outsiders and university students while taking action.</span><br />
