A US administration official has confirmed that President Obama will nominate a retired Air Force General James Trapper as his new Director of National Intelligence. Gen. Trapper is currently the head of intelligence at thePentagon. He will replace Admiral Dennis Blair who resigned after several clashes with the Obama Administration.<br/> <br/>The post was created by President Bush in 2004 to oversee America's numerous intelligence agencies and act as the President's main adviser on intelligence matters related to national security.<br/> <br/>
