<span style="color: #222222;">The United States has asked Turkey for a recording said to provide strong evidence that missing Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that they have asked for the recording if it exists.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">60-year old Khashoggi vanished on the 2nd of this month after entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. Turkish authorities suspect he was abducted and murdered by the Saudis. But Riyadh insists that the journalist, a known critic of Saudi King Salman, had left the building and that murder claims are baseless.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Trump has denied he was trying to cover for Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, the Washington Post has announced that it will publish the last column Khashoggi wrote before his disappearance on the importance of a free press in West Asia.</span>
