The death toll in the building collapse in Jalandhar on Sunday last has risen to 18 and is expected to increase further. Personnel of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) extricated six more bodies yesterday from under the debris.Our Correspondent reports that after about six days of the unfortunate incident in which a building of a blanket factory caved-in, there seems to be no survivors left. The total number of survivors as of now is 62. Meanwhile, three officers from Bihar reached the disaster site yesterday and met Jalandhar Deputy Commissioner to take stock of the situation.
