Jal Shakti Minister writes letter to Arunachal Pradesh CM for implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in State

<span style="color: #222222;">Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has written a letter to Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh for expeditious implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the State. The Mission aims to improve the lives of rural people by providing safe drinking water to every rural household through household tap connections by 2024.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Arunachal Pradesh is plannig to provide 100 per cent tap connections to all the households of the State by March, 2023. Centre has allocated 255 Crore rupees for the State under the Jal Jeevan Mission in 2020-21. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said, state will be given additional funds in form of performance grants based on their achievement in terms of tangible outputs. Out of two lakh 18 thousand total rural households, 37 thousand households have been already provided with tap connections. The State is planning to provide 77 thousand tap connections in 2020-21.</span><br />
