Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today launched River Cities Alliance and National Urban River Management Plan for Kanpur in New Delhi. Mr. Shekhawat said, the alliance is for clean and preserving rivers across India and its core motto is to improve rivers and cities together. Thirty major cities across the country joined hands to transform river's life in their cities. He said, although we have many resources but can not be preserved until people connect with it and we need to make it a people's movement.<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> <br />'' Mr. Shekhawat stressed that the alliance will be historical in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
