<span style="color: #222222;">Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today held a review meeting with Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Edappadi K. Palaniswami regarding implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the State. The mission is under implementation in partnership with States to provide drinking water to every rural household of the country.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Tamil Nadu is planning 100 per cent coverage by 2024 to accomplish the target of providing tap connection to every rural household of the State. Out of one crore 26 lakh rural households in Tamil Nadu around 26 per cent of the household are provided with tap connections. In 2020-21, Tamil Nadu has planned to provide tap connections in around 34 lakh households.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Chief Minister assured expeditious implementation of the mission in the State  to provide household tap connections to every family in a time-bound manner.</span><br />''  <br />
