Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat held discussion with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the State through video conferencing. <br />''<br />''In a statement, the Jal Shakti Ministry said that Uttar Pradesh is planning 100 per cent coverage by 2022 to accomplish the ambitious target of providing tap connection to every rural household of the State. During the discussion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister assured expeditious implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the State to achieve the target of providing household tap connections in rural areas. <br />''<br />''He mentioned the plan of the State to provide safe drinking water on priority in Vindhya – Bundelkhand region, 38 districts affected with Japanese Encephalitis as well as Arsenic and Fluoride affected districts.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Jal Shakti Minister reiterated the commitment of Central Government to provide all assistance to the State to achieve the goal. He said, out of two crore 63 lakh rural households in the State, 10 lakh 23 thousands are provided with tap connections so far.
