<span style="color: #222222;">Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today discussed various aspects of implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in Manipur with the Chief Minister N Biren Singh through video conferencing.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The aim of this mission is to provide potable drinking water to every rural household through Functional Household Tap Connections by 2024.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Mr Shekhawat said, Chief Minister has assured that all households of the State will be provided with tap connections by 2022.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Out of four lakh 51 thousand rural households in Manipur, only 32 lakh are provided with Functional Household Tap Connections.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, out of the remaining household, Manipur has&nbsp; planned to provide tap connections in two lakh households during 2020-21.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister urged the Chief Minister for constitution of village water and sanitation committee as a sub-committee of Gram Panchayat with minimum 50 per cent of women members that will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating and maintaining of water supply infrastructure.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
