Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Goa and expressed happiness that the State is planning to provide 100 per cent Functional Household Tap Connections in rural areas by 2021. Out of two lakh 60 thousand households in the State, two lakh 29 thousand households have already been provided with household tap connection. The aim of this mission is to provide potable drinking water to every rural household through Functional Household Tap Connections by 2024.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Goa will be one of first few States to achieve the feat and become 100 per cent Har Ghar Jal State. Mr Shekhawat reiterated that the Government is committed to provide all assistance to the State Government to achieve the goal. The fund allocation to Goa in 2020-21 has been increased from around three crore rupees to over 12 Crore rupees.</span><br />
