Jal Jeevan Mission envisioned to ensure every Indian can have access to clean and safe water: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that Jal Jeevan Mission was envisioned to ensure that every Indian has access to clean and safe water, which is a crucial foundation for public health. Sharing the tweet of Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Mr Modi said, Government will continue to strengthen this Mission and boost the healthcare system.<br />''  <br />'' As per a WHO report released on Thursday, four Lakh lives will be saved from diarrhoeal disease deaths with Universal Tap Water coverage. While the economic benefits in India are estimated at more than 100 Billion dollars.<br />''  <br />'' Dr. Richard Johnston & Dr. Sophie Boisson of WHO South East Asia presented the report titled "Health Impact of Jal Jeevan Mission". Mr Shekhawat said, the observations testify that our efforts at Jal Jeevan Mission not only improve health outcomes but also help in reducing the burden of water collection on our mothers and daughters. The report predicts substantial health gains in India with JJM's progress.<br />''  <br />'' Mr Shekhawat said, what better news in this Amrit Kaal than to know that India is growing healthier and stronger thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet project of Jal Jeevan Mission.
