An Indonesian court has found the outgoing Jakarta's Christian Governor Basuki Ahok Tjahaja Purnama guilty of blasphemy against Islam and sentenced him to two years in jail. He was accused of insulting Islam by referring to a verse in the Quran during a campaign speech.<br/><br/>Purnama denied blasphemy and in court said, he would mount an appeal.<br/>Purnama, known as Ahok, was the first ethnic Chinese Christian to run Indonesia's capital. His remarks about Islam had sparked outrage among religious hardliners.
