Defending UPA government over alleged charges of Coal Scam, Coal Minister Sriprakash Jaiswal has come to the fore to back PM Manmohan Singh’s stand on the issue.

Talking to a private TV news channel, Mr. Jaiswal categorically denied the allegations levelled against UPA government and PM Manmohan Singh pertaining to alleged coal scam.

Moreover, he said that the set procedure was strictly being followed and allocation was never seen as a revenue generating exercise.

Earlier, Team Anna had levelled multiple allegations against UPA government in terms of loss to exchequer due to wrong doings in allocation of coal blocks by coal ministry.
