The Statistics and Programme Implementation minister Mr. Sriprakash Jaisawal has advocated enhancement in funds for MP Local Area Development Scheme.<br/><br/>Speaking to reporters during the review of MPLAD scheme in New Delhi, Mr. Jaisawal told that at least five crore rupees should be allotted in this scheme, which is presently two crore only .<br/><br/>Mr. Jaisawal said that almost 92 percent of works sanctioned under this scheme have been completed and government is satisfied with its success despite some complaints. The minister said that Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh and Tamilnadu are the top three states in terms of completing work under this scheme.<br/><br/>Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Uttarakhad have shown worst performance.
