The Rural Development Minister Mr Jairam Ramesh has stressed the need for creating a balance between faster economic growth and sustainable growth. Speaking at the fourth World Forum of Organisation for Economic coperation and Development -OECD in New Delhi, Mr Ramesh said that sustainable growth must be linked with public health and livelihood. He said that with the faster growth , there is a need to conserve natural resources like water, forests and land. He also emphasized the need for building community institutions to create awarenes among the people for protection of enviroenment.
