Jairam Ramesh to head India's climate talks teams

Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh today said he will be heading the country's climate talks teams at international fora. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function in New Delhi, Mr Ramesh said he would be the country's chief negotiator for talks related to climate change. Previously, India's key negotiator on climate change was Shyam Saran who quit the post last month. The minister said a five member inter-ministerial climate change negotiating team is already in place to take forward the country's negotiations.
