Four Members of Rajya Sabha who were re-elected in the recent biennial elections took oath today. They took oath in the chamber of Rajya Sabha Chairman Hamid Ansari at the Parliament House. The members are Oscar Fernandes and Jairam Ramesh of Congress who have been elected from Karnataka, M J Akbar of BJP who was elected from Madhya Pradesh and Satish Chandra Misra of BSP who was elected from Uttar Pradesh. Leader of Rajya Sabha and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Rajya Sabha Secretary General Shumsher Sheriff were present on the occasion among others.
