The Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh today said in the Loksabha that no decision has been taken on the suggestion for providing food grains under MGNREGA.

Replying to questions he said, the payments under the flagship program is being made payments directly through Bank accounts.

He also said, food grains are not being distributed under the scheme. He said, the suggestion for supply of food grains is under consideration; however the experience in this regard has not been successful.
