Commonwealth Games bronze-medallist Jai Bhagwan has entered the second round in the 60 kg category of the World Boxing championships. At Baku, Azerbaijan, today, Jai Bhagwan opened his campaign by thrashing Evaldas Petrauskas of Lithuania 15-8.Jai will next take on Czech Miroslav Serban. Serban beat Nuwan Thennakoon of Sri Lanka 16-10 in his opening bout.The experienced 26-year-old Indian changed his strategy in every round of the bout, wearing down his 19-year-old opponent who is a Youth Olympics gold-medallist.However, the poster boy of Indian Boxing, Vijender singh, suffered defeat in his opening round 75 kg bout. The 2009 World Cup bronze medallist lost to Olympic silver medallist Emilio Correa of Cuba 9-16.
