Senior BJP leader and an MLA from Janakpuri constituency Mr. Jagdish Mukhi has declined to be the protem Speaker of Delhi Assembly. Party sources said that neither Mr. Mukhi nor any BJP MLA will become the protem Speaker.

The decision in this regard was taken by Mr. Mukhi after he received a letter from Delhi L-G Najeeb Jung yesterday about his appointment as a protem Speaker in Delhi assembly. Mr. Mukhi has also conveyed his decision to the Delhi Assembly Secretary.
