Jaganmohan Reddy: CBI seeks 14 days’ custody

CBI on Monday sought 14 days custody of Kadapa MP and the YSR Congress party President Y S Jagnamohan Reddy before the CBI special court in Hyderabad .

The YSR Congress party President was arrested Sunday evening in connection with the alleged disproportionate assets case against him.

Producing him before the CBI Special Court on Monday morning, the CBI said Jaganmohan Reddy has not cooperated for the investigation.

Meanwhile, the CBI Special Court has extended till 30th of this month the remand of industrialist Prasad and Senior Officer Brahmananda Reddy, whose remand came to an end on Sunday.

The Court also sanctioned bail to 11 persons whom the CBI named in its first charge sheet filed August last year in the case.

AIR Correspondent reports that the arguments over Jaganmohan Reddy’s custody and his bail petitions are over in the CBI Special Court in Hyderabad.

The court is likely to give its orders on Monday afternoon. The court orders are pending and likely to be issued Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, a state Bandh is being observed on Monday in response to the call given by the YSR Congress party protesting against the arrest of its President Jaganmohan Reddy in his assets case.

The bandh received mixed response in various regions of the state while in Hyderabad , normal life remained unaffected amidst tight security arrangements.
