Jagan Reddy remanded in 14 days' custody till June 11

A CBI Special Court in Hyderabad today ordered judicial remand for 14 days for Kadapa Lok Sabha member Y S Jagnamohan Reddy. The Court has given its directions over the CBI petition seeking custody to further probe him in his alleged disproportionate assets case.

The YSR Congress Party President was arrested last evening in connection with the assets case against him and produced before the CBI Special Court this morning. Seeking his custody the CBI said Jaganmohan Reddy has not cooperated for the investigation. He has been sent to Chanchalguda Central Jail in Hyderabad after that.

Meanwhile, the CBI Special Court has extended till 30th of this month the remand of industrialist Prasad and Senior Officer Brahmananda Reddy, whose remand came to an end yesterday in this case. The Court also sanctioned bail to 11 persons whom the CBI named in its first charge sheet filed August last year in the case.
