Protesting against the delay in granting special status to Andhra Pradesh and to highlight the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government's indifference towards the issue, the YSR Congress chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy staged dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, today. <br/><br/>Speaking to the AIR correspondent, Mr Jagan said, Special status for Andhra Pradesh is not a concession, it is a right of people of Andhra Pradesh. He also said, the demand for special status of Andhra Pradesh should not be linked to the demand for same by other states. <br/><br/>Sitaram Yechury, leader of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was also present at the protest and extended his full support to the cause. Addressing the gathering he said, justice should be done to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
